The Lowrance HDS Gen3 is a high definition system with the best fish-finding and navigation technology.
It is the latest evolution of the top selling multi-purpose display. Lowrance HDS Gen3 is available in three models measuring 7, 9 and 12 inches. It combines a faster processor and improved fish-finding technology, all with a renewed menu structure that makes it easier to use. The improved user interface, the multi-touch and keyboard inputs, the faster processor, are all factors that make the Lowrance HDS Gen3 a quick, powerful and easy tool. The icon commands are simple to recall, while functions such as the scrolling menus, the support cursor, the settings indicators and the preview panels with quick-touch scrolling bars all make the experience very similar to using a smartphone or a tablet.
Standard features include the most advanced fishing technologies: StructureScan HD and DownScan Imaging, to give photo-quality images of the fish, sonar Chirp for an improved separation of the target and a better noise reduction, for a clear and immediate visualization of baits and preys.
In addition, Lowrance HDS Gen3 features a built-in wireless connectivity, for quick downloads of maps and upgrades straight on the chart-plotter or fishfinder. Connectivity with mobile devices is granted by the GoFree App from Lowrance. All the models have plug-and-play compatibility with optional upgrades like SpotlightScan Sonar, Broadband Radar, SonicHub Marine Audio, Class B AIS and DSC VHF, and the latest SmartSteer control for MotoGuide Xi5 electric trawling motors and the Lowrance Outboards Pilot.
Lowrance HDS Gen3 is compatible with the full range of Navionics maps, beside C-MAP MAX-N+ and third party maps like NV Digital Charts. It can use the map creator Insight Genesis, which allows users to create and share high resolution maps starting from their sonar images. All the options can be used with the navigation-planning software Insight Planner for PC. Easy Routing and AutoRouting functions are available respectively with C-MAP MAX-N+ and Navionics maps.
The new Lowrance HDS Gen3 multi-purpose screens, measuring 7, 9 and 12 inches, are on sale at around 1200, 1800 and 2800 Euros, excluding transductors and taxes.
