Ok, the performance of this Cigarette 50 Marauder SS is stunning, with 104 kn (120 mph) of top speed, but that you can expect when you have two Mercury Racing engines developing a total of 2700 HP. What's more surprising is the level of the finishing, which stands out without hindering the racing style. The American boatyard was able to better their flagship, building a boat which is even faster and more exclusive.
The driveline of Cigarette 50 Marauder SS consists of two 1350 HP Mercury Racing gas engines, mounted offset, and matched to the new M8 Drive sterns with new hydrodynamic profiles that allow to mount the engines lower.
Performance is impressive, acceleration is overwhelming, even dangerous if you are not sitting or holding tight. The maximum speed obviously depends on the waves, wind and the ability of the driver. You can cruise at 90 mph and if the conditions are ideal you can push to 100 mph, but you need experience to get to the top speed of 120 mph.

Compared to the previous model, this Cigarette 50 Marauder SS features a longer foredeck, with the cockpit moved back, and the whole structure is built in carbon fiber to reduce weight and lower the center of gravity. The deck has been remodeled to improve aerodynamics and increase airflow to the engine room.
