2017 preview: the new Ferretti Yachts 850

Ferretti Yachts 850 has just been launched. It's one of the two new models for 2017 from the Italian manufacturer, along with the 450, and will be on display at Cannes Boat Show from 6th to 11th of September.
26 meters long, the new Ferretti Yachts 850 further enlarges the yacht range of the boatyard, spacing from 45 to 96 feet. Main features are elegance and functionality of the interiors, with a 10-meter long salon organized as a proper open space housing living area, dining table, open book case with brushed metal structures and cubic cabinets in tinted glass.
Design and interior decor sports essential, yet not too minimalist lines, in a pattern oriented towards dark shades.
The galley is available in two possible layouts: the first locates it in the bow section, along with the lobby and the helm station, in a completely separated area. The second option brings it back into the salon and towards the cockpit, on the port side, completed by a bar countertop facing the salon.
Below deck Ferretti Yachts 850 features a large master suite with center bed, office desk and large closet. The bathroom is separated by a partially-satin crystal divider.
Guests are accommodated in another three cabins, one double and two with twin beds, all of them featuring en-suite and separate shower box.
Outside, a Vulcan Grey roll bar overlooks the sun bridge. The owner has two choices to shade the sun in the hottest hours: a hard top sheltering the aft area or a larger one protruded to bow with crystal roof or sliding awning.
Of course the fly deck features all the amenities needed for a day spent in relax (and privacy). Same for the bow deck on the main level, where a second living area can be fitted with optional awnings and sun umbrellas.
Ferretti Yachts 850 is powered by two MAN V12 engines, 1800 HP each, for a top speed of 29 knots and a cruise of 26. A second powerstep of 2x1900 HP (still MAN V12) is available and pushes the boat to 31 (27 the cruise pace). In addition, Seakeeper stabilizers or Zero Speed hydraulic fins are available, according to owner's desires and needs.
